Holiday Wishlist

I like to think that I’m not a hard girl to please but, if I am being honest with myself, I am as picky as they come. Now that I got off my chest, I thought it would be fun to share my holiday wish list. All the items listed below are eco-friendly, ethically sourced and/or from a small business owner- all the things I love.
A Coffee Kit

A homemade coffee kit is at the top of my wish list. I wasn't a coffee drinker until five years ago and I didn't take my coffee quality seriously until two years ago- thank you L.A. for making me a coffee snob! So here is what I would like to create that perfect at home cup of joe:
  1. Three Cup Classic Chemex- This is maybe one of the sexiest pour over brewing systems ever! Do I even need to justify my choice? But just in case I do, it’s completely plastic-free and it doesn’t absorb odors or chemical residue. I rest my case.
  2. Hario Wooden Coffee Mill Manual Grinder Column- I heard that grinding your own coffee keeps coffee fresher longer. Since I’m already going down this slippery rode of coffee snobbery, why not give this a go?
  3. Cuppow Glass Travel Mug- I like my coffee on the go and wether or not I make it at home or grab it from my fave local shop, I want to ensure that I have a low environmental impact. This cup is essentially a mason jar with a cool coozy made from recycled plastic bottle and a BPA free reusable recycled polypropylene lid. Pretty cool right?

Recently I've gotten the urge to wear more jewelry and little darlings are right up my style alley.
  1. Tiklari Green Beyza II Ring- I found this beauty on the ethical retailer site called Ethica. This ring is handmade and it’s materials locally sourced in Turkey. Also, green is my fav color!
  2. By Chari Gold Cuff- This delicate cuff is from my girlfriend’s jewelry line. Chari is a Jamaican queen designing her pieces in Hawaii. I already have two beautiful necklaces by her and I feel like this cuff will be a great addition to my budding jewelry collection.
  3. Turtle Warrior Recycled Glass Beaded Tassel Bracelet- This lovely hand crafted bracelet comes from another Caribbean nation, Trinidad and Tobago. The beads are created from recycled glass collected from the beach in Matura where leatherback sea turtles nest. All the money raised through the sale of the Turtle Warrior Bracelets goes directly back into the project and towards our sea turtle conservation efforts. I’m always down for a good cause!
So that’s it for me, what’s on your holiday list this year?
